Podiatrist Dan Michaels, DPM explains that the feet are essential for mobility, health, and carrying out daily activities. Some factors can lead to the development of diseases and complications. “Being overweight can interfere with walking. Wearing the wrong type of footwear, especially uncomfortable shoes, lack of hydration, exposure of the feet to sun without protection, and spending long periods standing are some of the main factors,” he points out.
