This is the third podiatrist I've seen in Hagerstown, and hands down is the best. He listened to my concerns determined to my situation was less serious than what I expected and didn't try to sell me hundreds of dollars worth of equipment to treat symptoms for a problem that was easily managed in one visit. Thank you

The staff is courteous and attentive. Dr. Michael is very knowledgeable and talks you through the entire process. He never rushes the appointment and is.very good about taking the time to address all of your questions and concerns.

Let me start by saying the staff other than the Dr. are absolutely great. The front desk and assistants are all nice and helpful. However...
Dr. Michaels is condescending, rude, treated me like I was stupid, barely let me talk, talked more about how great Hoka shoes were than saying anything helpful, and said I had weak ankles which is why one was swollen. He proceeded to sell me ankle braces and charged insurance $1500 for seeing me for 10 minutes, in which he touched my foot ONCE.
Then, I had molds done for custom orthotic inserts. After never hearing back from the office for almost two months, I called and was informed they hadn't sent them out as I would have to pay out of pocket $450 as insurance would not cover them as I had not reached my deductible!
Needless to say, I will not be returning to this office, and do not recommend Dr. Michaels - but I do like his staff, just wished they worked for a better person!

Is there A-1 down to business kind of doctor I like that no bones about it you go in you Sammy tells you what you need to do and what will help you and that's a good thing

The doctor was very nice and informative. But I had to wait a good 30 minutes before being seen.
I highly Dr. Michaels gave me knowledgeable information on my ankle. He and the staff are very friendly. Today, I was given x-rays and was educated on custom-made brace just for my foot. Thank you, Dr. Michaesl and staffing.

I do not recommend Dr. Michaels. He did not discuss my x-rays or treatment during my visit. His primary focus was on selling me insoles and vitamins. It’s not the place to go if you’re serious about recovering from an injury.
My 99 year old mother has been very pleased with the doctor and all of those she has encountered there. Keep up the great work!

Absolutely great foot care for my daughter from Dr. Michaels and his staff. I especially like that he and his staff explain the diagnosis in detail that a patient can understand and Dr. Michaels looks first for non-drug related resolutions that will provide long term relief.

My last appt, was great. Trying on shoes prescribed, too big,- but the guy was so nice about it. Resized n sd will reorder. He is very polite, service with a smile. Dr. M trimmed my toe nails, felt so good afterwards. Front desk kindly gave me my next appt. Easy going office.
I have a positive experience. He is a nice doctor. He is concerned about my ankle and foot and helps me with my pain and my walking. He is concerned about my health and my diabetes.
The Dr and associates were so nice. Had only one treatment and can already feel the difference. Can't wait to see how good I'll feel at the end of 5 treatment. Even though insurance doesn't cover the cost it is well worth the reasonable cost.
Dr. Michaels is by far the best foot & ankle professional there is as far as I am concerned. You can be confident that he is the one who can and will fix whatever is wrong with your feet. His staff are very professional and pleasant. It's nice to see smiling faces in this facility. When you leave this facility, you will know you had the best of care.
